Business advice, coaching and sales growth.

Born and bred in Portsmouth, now living in Waterlooville, I left secondary school at 15, immediately taking a job in a local clothing shop and then shortly afterwards as a van driver for a local reprographics company. In my early twenties, I joined their sales team becoming one of their top sales performers in just two years.

In '89, I joined the sales team at a national security systems company. Here I became the Southern Regional Sales Manager and then National Accounts Manager. 

In 2001, seeking a new challenge, I was invited to take a Sales Director role and stock in a small, local, but struggling fire & security business. When I joined, the business had a turnover of circa £250,000 and was deeply 'in the red'. When I left the business in July 2004, their turnover exceeded £2,000,000 and the balance sheet was at break even.

I moved on to co-create Detect Fire & Security Ltd with my new business partner in 2005. Over a 17 year period and overcoming the many challenges of a start up to a £5,000,000 turnover business with 50+ employees, and everything in between, we decided to sell the business to a national company in 2021 to move onto pastures new. 

2022 saw the creation of The Business Therapist Ltd where I now support and assist SME business owners and directors overcome the challenges and obstacles they face daily in their business growth, providing business advice, business coaching and sales growth so as to provide a real opportunity for success and the accompanying rewards.
